His reliance on Kreese makes him unlikely to question his master's methods, and Kreese could easily use Robby's anger at the world to his advantage. Season 3 saw Robby go through one hardship after another. So far, Kreese seemed to be the only one who came through for Robby. He even gave the newly-minted Cobra Kai a place to stay at the dojo after his release, cementing the idea that the Vietnam veteran is the only adult who will be there for him. At the end of season 3 of Cobra Kai, Robby Keene (Tanner Buchanan) ended up in the clutches of John Kreese (Martin Kove), and the troubled karate student will be key to his new sensei's plans. Both his father figures have failed him as well: Johnny missed their scheduled visitation because he was with Miguel at the hospital, once again making Robby feel second-best, while Daniel calling the police on Roby and forcing him to surrender himself to authorities felt like a betrayal to the young man. The Cobra Kai Season 5 finale ended with John Kreese once again faking his death and escaping jail. Miguel and Sam reignited their romance during season 3 while Robby was in prison (or at least he believes they did), leaving him heartbroken. They have come into conflict several times over their shared love interest, Sam Larusso (Mary Mouser). With all Kreese’s plans falling apart, he warns Tory to look after herself and decides to give in. Daniel tricks Kreese though and doesn’t hold up his side of the bargain. Terry created an instant competition between himself and John but Kreese never doubted he had the upper hand. Kreese is conned into disclosing Terry’s masterplan to them in the hopes of garnering LaRusso’s lawyer’s contact information. Kreese immediately sensed something was wrong when Silver first entered the Cobra Kai dojo and he objected to the way his old friend taught his students.
Unfortunately, this tip-off doesn’t actually help out and eventually LaRusso and Johnny pay Kreese a visit in person. This newspaper cutting alludes to Stingray’s lies during the trial. They try to involve Daniel LaRusso and the gang by sending him an anonymous tip-off.
Tory informs Kreese that Terry cheated in the All Valley Tournament, paying a referee to manipulate the results. Tory is working as a mole within Cobra Kai, trying to sabotage from the inside.

Sensei Kreese battles a cell full of thugs and comes out unscathed, from this moment onwards the other inmates respect his authority. He stops letting the bullies walk all over him and fights back, showing them who is boss. The therapist sees straight through his plan though and suggests he puts in the hard work, addressing his history in detail.Īfter his initial plans fail, Kreese decides to drop the charming act and reveal his true persona. Kreese believes that if he says the right things and tells her what he thinks she wants to hear, then he can trick her into a recommendation for early release. He desperately wants to gain an early release and tries his damnedest to impress his therapist. Kreese doesn’t get off to a great start in jail.
